Couch to 5K

Couch to 5K or C25k, is designed to get almost anyone up off the couch and enable them to run 5 kilometers or 30 minutes in just 9 short weeks. Couch to 5K has enabled thousands of couch potatoes to get up and start running. The program is a gentle introduction to becoming active, starting off alternating between walking and jogging short distances, and gradually adding time and distance for 9 weeks. At which point you will be ready to jog 5 kilometers without stopping.

TRIATHLON 101
MULTISPORTS BOOTCAMP FOR NEWBIES AND NOVICES
This 12-week class is designed to prepare the student to complete a sprint distance triathlon. Class includes, organized training plan, weekly group workouts which include swimming, biking, and running. Workshops covering detailed information on triathlon topics, weekly emails and an end of class graduation celebration! Make your first triathlon a memorable experience!
Goal Event(s):200 m swim, 8 mile bike, 1 mi run or 400 m swim, 14 mile bike, 5 km run
Enrollment is limited to the first 20 individuals who register for this special training class!

WATER AEROBICS
Strengthen and tone the body and improve the cardiovascular system with this unique water exercise program. Since exercises will be performed while standing, swimming is not required. Everyone from arthritics, physically limited or overweight people, to exercise enthusiasts, is encouraged to attend this course. Seniors receive a 10% discount.

Time: 8 – 8:50 a.m.
Location: Fitness Center Pool
Fee: $36 per month (You may join at any time and the price will be pro-rated)

YOGA
This class is a great way to release muscle tension after a busy, stressful day. Learn to breathe fully and rhythmically with all parts of your lungs in order to increase your oxygen intake, recharge your body, and quiet your mind. Practicing the basic yoga poses will stretch, strengthen and tone muscles you never knew you had. Bring your own towel or blanket to use for the floor exercises. We will also practice standing poses to improve balance and focus.

ZUMBA FITNESS
The Zumba program is an effective, exhilarating, Latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, calorie-burning dance-fitness party that has taken the fitness industry by storm. It achieves the perfect balance of a progressive core workout, full-body cardio and strength training.
