Mental Health First
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a 12 hour certification designed to give members of the public key skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. A five-step strategy is applied to assessing risk, respectfully listening to and supporting the individual and assisting the person in finding appropriate professional help. This course serves to both improve recognition of mental disorders and to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
CEU's have been approved for LPC, LADC, Case Managers & Recertification credit for HR professionals through HRCI (PHR, GPHR, SPHR).
