Slides and transparencies are things of the past. New presentation trends have evolved, which range from the computer based Microsoft Power Point and Mac Keynote tot he online Sliderocket and Prezi applications. A well designed and executed presentation with the right colors, audio, video, and interactivity is a must have to win clients or get a job. Students will explore different presentation designs and resources as well as refine communication and presenting skills. Come learn how to sell yourself through interactive resumes, sell your vision to your boss, or sell your project to a venture capitalist.

Changing Our Thinking About Changing The World
Maybe changing the world is not part of our “calling” as teachers after all. Maybe we are called to do something more basic, something over which we actually have a measure of control.
According to Daniel Pink in his book A Whole New Mind the world of tomorrow will be a “High Tech/ High Touch” world. We seem to have gotten the “High Tech” message. It’s time to give greater attention to the “High Touch” part. In this class we will explore the “high touch” opportunities in the academic setting, which could result in a changed world.
