Explore Our World: Emergency Management Careers

Students will gain in-depth knowledge of the day to day life of civil service and emergency management professionals. Students will visit with groups from the Scenic River Commission, Dept. of Wildlife, 911 Emergency, OK Highway Patrol, Tahlequah Fire Dept., and TCH EMT. ROTC will finish up the day with outdoor activities. This career exploration includes academic requirements and ACT Test Prep. The group will conclude the week with a cookout and float trip.

Explore Our World: Leadership 

Join the NSU's President's Leadership Class scholars in this college student led environment. Skills include Leadership Teaching, Group Team Building and Personal Growth. Gain valuable leadership information, skills, and learn how to put them into practice. Students will have the opportunity to look at situations from a new perspective. The camp also includes ACT Test Prep and exploration of civic and leadership careers. This group with conclude the week with a cook out and float trip.

The Babysitters Boot Camp

Are you ready to start your own babysitting business? This class is will prepare you for responsibility of becoming a great babysitter. Parents will feel confident in your skills and abilities as you will be trained in appropriate Pediatric CPR/First Aid techniques, safe practices and age appropriate activities for ages 0-10.

Broken Arrow Boot Camp

Date: June 26 & 27
Time: Wed. 9:00am – 12:00pm, Thurs. 9:00am - 5:00pm
Instructor: Cherokee Nation- EMS & Sheree Whiteside, Human and Family Science
Cost: $75.00 (includes lunch, CPR Card and Certification of Completion)

Tahlequah Boot Camp

Date: July 10 & 11, 2013
