The Nursing Program offers an online upper-division completion program for individuals already licensed as Registered Nurses, which leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Since its origin in 1982, the RN-BSN program continues to flexibly offer all RNs the opportunity to earn a professional degree.
All nursing courses are available online, originating from the Northeastern State University-Muskogee campus, or can be delivered every other week by Video-Conference (VC) to various distance education sites, e.g., NSU-Broken Arrow, Miami, and Ponca City. Consequently, enrollment can be tailored around work, family, and other responsibilities. This is truly a program for the working RN.
Advisement and information is also available for declared and non-declared pre-nursing students enrolled at NSU. Students are advised by appointment in room 256, Science Building. Please schedule initial appointments through the Nursing Office.
Before submitting a program application, be sure to contact the Nursing Office and obtain an unofficial transcript review. The Nursing Office is in the Mike Synar Center, room 134, on the Muskogee campus. Potential and actual students can visit onsite, call (918) 781-5410, fax (918) 781-5411, or email the secretary or any nursing faculty.
