In addition to publishing scholarly articles on the relationship between music and poetry, Dr. Linebarger is an active poet who has published poetry in over 15 national journals, including Art Times, Bitter Oleander, Borderlands, The Cider Press Review, and the Wallace Stevens Journal. He has also published War Stories (2006) as part of the Pudding House Chapbook Series. Dedicated to exploring diversity in the Humanities classroom, Dr. Linebarger has given scholarly presentations across the United States on topics as diverse as Anime in the Humanities Classroom, Korean Short Stories, Rap Music and Gregorian Chant, and Teaching the Arts of Native America.
Before coming to NSU, Dr. Linebarger taught English Composition and Literature at University of California, Davis.
