Knot Theory Workshop at UCO

Three mathematics students (Parker Richey, Toni Slagle and Jory Wade) went to a Knot Theory workshop at the University of Central Oklahoma on October 2-3, 2009.  This two-day workshop was led by the nationally acclaimed speaker Dr. Colin Adams from Williams College.  Students were exposed to many ideas and theorems presented by Dr. Adams in his energetic and thrilling presentation style.  They also took part in forming the "World's Record" 6-5 Human Torus Knot, which used 42 people!
