Northwestern Health Sciences University and Northeastern State University 3 + 3 Agreement

  1. Under the provisions of this program, student will matriculate at NSU for a minimum of 94 semester hours in course work leading toward the Bachelor of Science in Biology – Cellular Emphasis.
     
  2. Students are admitted to NWHSU only as first year doctorate of chiropractic students.  Upon completion of the first year of studies at NWHSU a maximum of 30 NWHSU credits may be transferred toward completion of the B.S. in Biology degree at NSU.  An official transcript must be sent from NWHSU to the Registrar of NSU, and the student must request application materials for graduation.
     
  3. While enrolled at NSU, students will complete all required course work as outlined above and described in the NSU catalog.
     
  4. The acceptance of transfer credits or testing toward completion of degree requirements shall be governed by current policies of NSU. However, a minimum of 30 total semester hours must be taken at NSU before transferring to NWHSU.
     
  5. Northwestern Health Sciences University shall accept, for the entrance date of their choice, all students who successfully complete the Pre-Chiropractic Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.250 or higher and meet all other criteria for admission.
     
  6. Students who earn less than a 3.250 GPA, but at least at 2.500 GPA, will be eligible for admission to NWHSU, and will receive appropriate consideration in the admission process for having completed the NSU Pre-Chiropractic Program, but will not receive the assurance of a seat reserved for students earning a 3.250 or higher GPA.
     
  7. Students will make application to NWHSU one year in advance of their desired entrance date and will complete all required application procedures thereafter in a timely manner, including submission of recommendation and a satisfactory interview.
     
  8. Students enrolled in the "3+3" program who successfully complete all course work in the first two 15 weeks trimesters at Northwestern Health Sciences University with C's or better will be granted the Bachelor of Science from NSU, provided they have met all other graduation requirements.
     
  9. Students shall pay the appropriate tuition and fees to each institution for all course work taken at that institution.  During their first year of study at NWHSU, students shall not be registered for courses at NSU.  Upon completion of the first year of study at NWHSU, students shall be responsible for any fees regularly charged by NSU for and awarding the baccalaureate degree.
