Summer Academy. The RACE program has changed its name to IDEA (Innovation Discovery Education Academy) but everything else remains the same. We are happy to offer our quality Summer Youth Programs again, as well as a new Youth Leadership Academy. Please select the campus you wish to attend and select the program that is right for your child.
Camp Cost - $125

Academy Times:8:30-4:00
Cost for early drop off/ late pick up is $25 per week.
Early drop off - 7:30-8:30
Late pick up - 4:00-5:00

NSU Broken Arrow: Meet in the Education Building, room 106 which is on the left directly inside the main doors.
Early Drop Off/Late Pick Up Cost: $25.00 USD per week
When: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: 4 - 9 + years
Camp Cost: $125.00 USD per week for face to face classes.. Online classes are $160 per week because materials have to be shipped or hand delivered to participants.
Each child brings their own lunch and snacks.
Includes: All materials. Does NOT include snacks and lunch. If more than one camp is selected, only one T-shirt per student will be provided unless requested.

Refund Policy: Requires a two week notice in order to receive a refund on your camp fee.
Optional Early Drop Off/ Late Pick UP
The cost for this is $25.00 per week. The language in the consent form states children should be 20 minutes early for drop off and can be up to 10 minutes late for pick up. Anything outside of those times needs to register for early drop off/late pick up and is charged the fee. The morning times are 7:30-8:30 a.m. and the evening times are 4-5 p.m. When you register for the youth academy, you will also see the option in a separate order to order early/late drop off.

4- 5 year olds
Explore the world with Disney characters from different countries/continents. Campers will learn about the world through crafts and exploration and keep a passport of their travels.

Lego Mania
6- 8 year olds
Campers will use the timeless brick toys to explore building, math, storytelling, and so much more!
I'm Ready for my Closeup!
9+ year olds
Become your own broadcaster. Learn the process of news broadcasting from photography to green screens, scripts, and production.

Zoo Friends
4- 5 year olds
Campers will learn about zoo animals and their native habitats through crafts and exploration.
Save the Environment
6 - 8 year olds
Campers will explore natural disasters and look into prevention methods for earthquakes, mudslides, fires, etc. They will also explore the importance of reusing and recyclable materials for our environment.

Art Academy
9+ year olds
Express yourself through fun and creative art projects! Students will produce their own artistic works with various mediums, techniques, and technology.

Makey Eaty
Ages: 4-5 years
Explore the fun side of cooking without a stove or oven. Campers will learn how to make their own meals and about the importance of the nutrition of foods. Campers will also learn basic manners and etiquette during meals.

Advanced Minecraft
Ages: 7 + year olds

STEM Olympics
Ages: 9 + year olds

Dexter's Secret Laboratory
4- 5 year olds
Campers will join Dexter, boy genius, while he creates fun experiments and world-saving inventions and adventures in his secret laboratory.
Video Game Design
8+ year olds
Bring to your imagination, and build a video game. Learn the ropes of building a video game, to play on your computer, or on the go with your phone.

A water exploration! Campers will discover the power of water, build and test boats, and understand why water is not only powerful but important.
Grow Your Own
9+ year olds
An exploration in gardening without soil! Campers will learn about the process of growing their own food through hydroponics and recyclable materials.
IDEA Leadership Youth Academy Ages 12+
Youth will be involved in the leadership skills of planning and design of the Makey Takey classes. This class is designed for those who have either attended the summer youth classes and have ‘aged out’ of what we offer OR would like to discover the ‘behind the scenes’ of running a summer youth academy. Participants in this class will assist the master teachers and answer directly to the Executive Director. Class activities will consist of: design and project ideas, budgeting, child responsibility, safety guidelines, record keeping, the planning process, and the closing down of weekly records. Students in this class will receive a certificate of Leadership from the Summer Youth Academy upon completion. If a student wishes to take multiple weeks, a certificate level will be established so that the student may earn differing levels of leadership skills.
Drop Off Location
NSU Tahlequah: Meet on the back side of Bagley Hall. Come in on Seminary Drive and look for a banner for parking. Go through the double doors and sign in.
NSU Broken Arrow: Meet in the Education Building, room 106 which is on the left directly inside the main doors. (**NO DROP OFF for "Get Green for Blue.")
