Summer Academy. The RACE program has changed its name to IDEA (Innovation Discovery Education Academy) but everything else remains the same. We are happy to offer our quality Summer Youth Programs again, as well as a new Youth Leadership Academy. Please select the campus you wish to attend and select the program that is right for your child.
Tahlequah
The Tahlequah campus is offering Makey Takey programs for all five weeks of our children
and youth academy. Instead of selecting just one theme a week, children will come
each day and select the task they wish to complete that day. They will take charge
of their own learning by deciding what they are interested in on a day to day basis.
Activities and classes will also vary from week to week. What are the exceptions?
Our 4-5-year-old class will ONLY be offered a variety of themes within their age group
and will not co-mingle with older children. The other exception is our MineCraft class.
Your child may sign up for JUST MineCraft. Note: we will not exclude children from
the other classes from MineCraft.
Price: $160.
2 snacks provided daily
Academy Times: 8:30-4:00
Early drop off - 7:30-8:30
Late pick up - 4:00-5:00

Camp Details
Where: We have a NEW address! 798 N. Vinita St. Tahlequah, Ok. 74464
When: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: 4 - 9 + years
Camp Cost: $160.00 USD per week
Includes: All snacks, lunch, supplies, and t-shirt. A parent or guardian must accompany the camper the first day to sign in.

Refund Policy: Requires a two week notice in order to receive a refund on your camp fee.
Optional Early Drop Off/ Late Pick UP
The cost for this is $25.00 per week. The language in the consent form states children should be 20 minutes early for drop off and can be up to 10 minutes late for pick up. Anything outside of those times needs to register for early drop off/late pick up and is charged the fee. The morning times are 7:30-8:30 a.m. and the evening times are 4-5 p.m. When you register for the youth academy, you will also see the option in a separate order to order early/late drop off.

Themes for the week will include special sensory boards, bugs, sand, water play, play dough, dress up and role play, draw and character play, drawing and painting, blocks, jigsaws, shapes, music, dancing, singing, imaginative play, and nature. Each day your child will take home a project he/she has completed.

Students will tinker with chemistry and jewelry making, basic coding, Legos, gardening, astrology, robotics, exploration in Harry Potter’s world, discovery in the Magic of Disney, 3D printing, drawing and painting, MineCraft, wacky, weird, and messy science experiments, and water play. Students will be able to select from three to six areas each day. Each class is taught by a master teacher to challenge your child to explore and experiment in areas they would not normally be able to find in a traditional school setting.

IDEA Leadership Youth Academy Ages 12+
Youth will be involved in the leadership skills of planning and design of the Makey
Takey classes. This class is designed for those who have either attended the summer
youth classes and have ‘aged out’ of what we offer OR would like to discover the ‘behind
the scenes’ of running a summer youth academy. Participants in this class will assist
the master teachers and answer directly to the Executive Director. Class activities
will consist of: design and project ideas, budgeting, child responsibility, safety
guidelines, record keeping, the planning process, and the closing down of weekly records.
Students in this class will receive a certificate of Leadership from the Summer Youth
Academy upon completion. If a student wishes to take multiple weeks, a certificate
level will be established so that the student may earn differing levels of leadership
skills.

Escape Room ACT Prep 9+ yrs

NSU Tahlequah: Meet on the back side of Bagley Hall. Come in on Seminary Drive and look for a banner for parking. Go through the double doors and sign in.
NSU Broken Arrow: Meet in the Education Building, room 106 which is on the left directly inside the main doors. (**NO DROP OFF for "Get Green for Blue.")
