Choral/Vocal scholarships are given for participation in ensembles regardless of major. Just about all students who participate in the NSU Choral/Vocal Program get some form of financial assistance. To be considered for a choral/vocal scholarship, you must audition. Please see the audition page for information on scheduling your audition.

To receive a choral/vocal scholarship, you must enroll and participate in at least one ensemble in the fall and spring semester. In addition to singing in Chorus, vocal music majors must audition for small ensembles (University Singers & Opera Workshop) and enroll in those for which they are chosen. Students who receive a choral/vocal scholarship are expected to perform at their best at all times and to serve as role models for other college ensemble members. Scholarships may be revoked at any time for students who fail to bring their very best to every rehearsal and performance. In addition to performing in at least one ensemble each semester, students must maintain full time enrollment, at least 12 credits, and a 2.0 GPA.
