Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security
Cyber security professionals deter, detect, contain, and investigate unauthorized use of computer networks. The Cyber Security program is interdisciplinary with coursework from the fields of criminal justice, information systems and computer science. The degree combines theory and practical application to prepare students for employment in local, state and federal agencies as well as private positions in cyber security analysis, assessment, management, incident response, and compliance risk analysis.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Develop an understanding of the field of cyber security.
- Develop an understanding of Cyber Security challenges on a domestic and international level.
- Develop skills to deter, detect, contain, and investigate unauthorized use of computer networks.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the relationships between the laws, ethics, piracy, and network security.
Beyond the undergrad program, there is also the cybersecurity certification course, and the cybersecurity internship clinic.
There is no Accelerated Degree Program for this degree.
