Bachelor of Science in Sport/Recreation Management

The Bachelor of Science in Sport/Recreation Management is designed to prepare students for a variety of career opportunities in the field of sport and recreation management.

The career opportunities may include sport administrators in college or K-12 schools, coaches, state and national park manager, etc. Furthermore, students with B.S. Sport/Recreation management can pursue advanced degrees in the areas of sport management or recreation management. 

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of fundamental principles in the sport/recreation management professions including management, marketing, public relations, finance, psycho-social and legal concepts.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to make ethical decisions in the sport/recreation management professions.
  3. Demonstrate the oral, written and interpersonal communication skills necessary for effective sport/recreation management professions.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to use technology effectively in the sport/recreation professions.
  5. Demonstrate the ability for personal growth and development through immersive learnings.
