2011 Fall Conference

Project I'M READY FAll 2011 Conference and Workshop

The IMLS Project I'M READY Fall 2011 conference and workshop took place during August 26-27, 2011. Dr. David Loertscher met with Drs. Kymes,Ray, and Louderback to initiate formative assessment processes on Friday the 26th. The workshop with student candidates took place on Saturday August 27th. During this years conference, Dr. David F. Loertscher presented his nationally renowned The Big Think technique. It offers nine meta-cognitive strategies that can be used by teacher librarians to ascertain students content learning and process. Collective brainstorming is applied to enhance the learning experience. We hope to bring Dr. Loertscher back for a similar presentation during the summative phase at the end of the grant program. This would provide an opportunity for Superintendents,Principals, and additional K-12 community members to participate in the process.
