Project I M READY provides funding support to hold annual conferences in northeast Oklahoma that present current research in educational improvement for the targeted populations. National educational experts will be invited to present the latest topics, resources, interventions, and methods for mitigating the effects of child poverty in the K-12 environment, and raising academic success rates for Native American students. Conferences, seminars and training workshops will be open to students, faculty and administrators free of charge. Programming will provide tips, tools, and intervention strategies that can be implemented and integrated into curricula to raise student achievement.
These conferences and seminars were sponsored by Northeastern State University with generous financial support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Students, professionals, and the community at large cam together to discuss and seek solutions to cultural, social, and economic issues surrounding student achievement.
