Lesson Plans

Lesson Plans

A lesson plan is a unified set of activities that focuses on one teaching objective at a time. It is a detailed description of the individual lessons that a teacher plans to teach on a given day. A lesson plan identifies the enabling objectives necessary to meet the lesson objective, the materials and equipment needed, and the activities appropriate to accomplish the objective. . It is a method of planning and preparation developed by a teacher to guide instruction throughout the day. A lesson plan traditionally includes the name of the lesson, and the date of the lesson, along with objectives, materials that will be used, and activity summaries. The purpose of lesson plans is to serve as a guide for teachers, to provide direction, to give the teacher a starting point, provide a record of activity, and to help provide good classroom management.
