Public Health Certificate

A graduate certificate in public health at NSU is the perfect option for individuals who want to acquire fundamental knowledge in public health but are unable to pursue a master’s degree.

For working professionals already in the field, our certificate programs provide specialized knowledge and skill acquisition opportunities in either Public Health Leadership or Global Health.

For those at the entry level, having a certificate in public health prepares them for positions in clinics, hospitals, government agencies, and non-profit organizations that require advanced knowledge and practical skills beyond that of a bachelor’s degree. In addition to the certificates in Public Health Leadership and Global Health, we also offer a certificate in General Public Health.

Why pursue an online public health certificate?

  • Courses are 100% online
  • Full-time students can earn a certificate in 12 months
  • Students gain practical knowledge and skills
  • Cohorts begin each spring and fall semester

Courses for the certificate programs are specific to each certificate and include:

Global Health from Policy to Practice, Essentials of Public Health Leadership, and Environmental and Occupational Health.
