This is an outline of math/science courses to assist pre-professional students with planning science sequences. Salient points to note:

  • This plan ensures that the student completes pre-requisites by the spring of their Junior year so the student is adequately prepared to take their admission exam (DAT, MCAT, PCAT, OAT, GRE***)
  • This plan includes two sciences per semester. Students who choose lighter loads in the freshman and sophomore semesters will have 3 or 4 sciences in the junior and senior semesters in order to complete prerequisite courses and apply to their professional program on time. The hours listed above for each semester are not full time status. You will fill in the remaining hours with courses required for your particular major. Note that most pre-health students take from 15 18 hours each semester.
  • Courses are arranged to accommodate prerequisites. Be sure to read course descriptions in the University Catalog. Some of the courses listed may require additional prerequisites not listed above and/or not required for your major.
  • Other courses are likely required for admission to your health program. It is your responsibility to check with the program you would like to attend to ensure that you meet all of the admission requirements. This plan may not include degree requirements for your major. Refer to Undergraduate Programs and Requirements for specific degree information.

Consultation with Pre-Health Advisor is essential.
