The arts play an important role in our lives. They bring the community together on the common ground of art. Through your generous support, you enhance our community's quality of life in many ways:

• You make it possible for disadvantaged children in the community to attend our Learning LIVE! Performance Series. Children involved in the arts have index scores averaging 20 points higher on measures of creative thinking, fluency, originality, and elaboration. Children involved in the arts are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, three times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools, and three times more likely to have higher school attendance.
• You make it possible for disadvantaged individuals in the community to attend our Sequoyah Institute Performing Arts Series.
• You make our community a better place to live and work. Cultural arts, both educational and entertaining, create a sense of kinship within a community.
• You see your dollars spent creatively and sensibly.
