Steffanie Ward serves as an affiliated faculty for the Northeastern State University Social Work Department, holding a BA in Psychology with a minor of Sociology from Oklahoma State University (1996), and a MSW from University of Oklahoma (1999). Having begun her social work career working with Oklahoma families at OKDHS, in 2008 she transitioned to providing therapy services for children and adolescents with PTSD. In 2009, she began her career working with veterans at the VA Hospital in Muskogee as a mental health social worker, advanced to the position of Social Work Service Chief in 2012, and currently serves as the Behavioral Medicine Chief.
