Beginning Grant Writing

This eight-week workshop taught by Dr. Linda Mason is designed to provide beginner grant proposal writers with the skills and knowledge to write concise, comprehensive, and informational proposals that are responsive to grant solicitations from foundations and federal granting agencies. Each week class is 30 minutes long. Optional homework assignments will be given to enhance each class for the more eager learner. Participants will learn about sources of grants, standard parts of grant proposals, grant eligibility, simple strategies for searching for grants, and sources for help in future grant writing endeavors. Upon course completion, the participant will have a writing template, grant project planning template, and a beginning strategy for writing grant proposals.
