New Educator Workshop (NEW)- Secondary Teachers (5th-12th Grade, All Content Areas)

Course Description

Course Description
This workshop will help new teachers (and established!) focus on three areas: 1) getting to know your students-- the first tenet of effective teaching! 2) classroom management strategies and how to foster an inclusive learning environment that actively engages all learners; 3) examples of instructional practices teachers can use to maximize their effectiveness as they plan coherent, relevant, standards-aligned, differentiated, instruction.

The focus on classroom management, instructional strategies, and common needs will increase teacher efficacy (ES= 1.57, Visible Learning, 2016), one of the most important factors that influences student achievement.
