Course description
An 8-hour/2-day introductory rifle shooting course based on the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting
curriculum. Classes limited to 4 students to optimize learning and safety. No experience
necessary. NRA textbook included; free loaner rifle available, ammo provided at cost.
Must be legally allowed to possess a rifle. Contact us for more information.
Instructor
Dr. Salmon is a retired NSU optometry professor and US Army veteran. He holds certificates
from Oklahoma and the NRA to teach pistol, rifle and reloading. Dr. Salmon is an NRA
range safety officer, armorer for Springfield pistols and trains with the International

will need to register on the NRA website as well.
Class schedule
Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Six classroom hours reviewing safety and shooting
fundamentals
Sunday 2 to 5:30 p.m. : 2-3 hour outdoor practice session
Location
Saturday: Hillside Church, 900 S Campbell Rd, Tahlequah.
Sunday p.m.: Private outdoor range.
