NRA Basic Rifle
Two-day NRA Basic Rifle course for students with any level of experience, who own
or are interested in owning a rifle. Includes classroom and range exercises emphasizing
safety and correct shooting technique. Free loaner rifles available.
Maximum 4 students per class. Must be 18 and can legally possess a firearm. For more

The Instructor
Retired NSU professor, Dr. Salmon, is an NRA- and CLEET-certified firearms instructor.
He provides high quality creative instruction in a professional and friendly manner
that optimizes each student’s learning experience.
Dates, Times, Location
Not regularly scheduled. Contact NSU continuing education or email Dr. Salmon to arrange a class. Typical schedule:
• Day 1: 8:30-5:30 classroom instruction, Hillside Church in Tahlequah
• Day 2: 2:30-5:30PM outdoor range exercises, private outdoor range in Tahlequah

Class schedule
Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Six classroom hours reviewing safety and shooting
fundamentals
Sunday 2 to 5:30 p.m. : 2-3 hour outdoor practice session
Location
Saturday: Hillside Church, 900 S Campbell Rd, Tahlequah.
Sunday p.m.: Private outdoor range.
