NRA Pistol 2
Session Description: This is an 8-hour/2-day follow-on course to Pistol 1 that follows the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting curriculum. Pistol 2 reviews safety and the fundamentals plus the next level of range training beyond Pistol 1. It does not cover the Oklahoma law and does not fulfill the educational requirement for an Oklahoma handgun license. Classes limited to 4 students to optimize learning and safety. Appropriate for shooters with limited experience, but can also accommodate new shooters. NRA textbook included; free loaner pistols available, ammo provided at cost. Must be 21, an Oklahoma resident, and legally allowed to possess a handgun. Contact us for more information. Class Schedule: Saturday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Six classroom hours reviewing safety and shooting fundamentals. Sunday 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM / 2-3 hours outdoor practice session. Instructor Dr. Salmon is a retired NSU optometry professor and US Army veteran. He holds certificates from Oklahoma and the NRA to teach pistol, rifle, and reloading. Dr. Salmon is an NRA range safety officer, armorer for Springfield pistol and trains with the International Defense Association (IDPA).
