Pistol 1 (Oklahoma Handgun License)
Oklahoma Handgun course (Conceal Carry)
An 8-hour/2-day introductory pistol shooting course. Fulfills educational requirements for an Oklahoma handgun license. Classes limited to 4 students to optimize learning and safety. No experience necessary, free loaner pistols available, ammo provided at cost. Must be 21, an Oklahoma resident and legally allowed to possess a handgun. About the Instructor
Dr. Salmon is a retired NSU optometry professor and US Army veteran. He holds certificates from Oklahoma and the NRA to teach pistol, rifle and reloading. Dr. Salmon is an NRA range safety officer, armorer for Springfield pistols and trains with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA). Saturday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM: Six classroom hours covering safety, shooting fundamental and the Oklahoma law.
Sunday 2:00 to 5:30 PM : 2-3 hour outdoor practice session.
Saturday: Hillside Church, 900 S Campbell Rd, Tahlequah. Sunday PM: Private outdoor range, 15098 OK-51, two miles west of Tahlequah airport.
