Clubs and Organizations

From networking to leadership opportunities, NSU’s over 80 clubs and organizations allow our students to build lasting relationships while getting the full college experience.

Transfer Students

Whether you’re an incoming or current transfer student, NSU’s transfer advisors are available to assist you with transcript evaluation, information on degree programs and support services. NSU is where You Belong.

Graduate College

Whether transitioning to graduate school or returning to higher education, NSU’s graduate college is your next step. Choose from over 25 master's degrees and several certificate programs.

Pistol I - Oklahoma Handgun License

Oklahoma Handgun Course (Conceal Carry)

An 8-hour/2-day introductory course required by Oklahoma for a handgun license. Small classes (1-4 students) optimize learning; covers principles of safety, correct shooting technique and the law. Highly recommended for anyone who owns or is thinking of owning a gun. No experience necessary; also valuable instruction for long-time gun owners. Must be 18 and legally able to own a gun (no criminal record, drug use, etc). Customized individual or group classes available by arrangement. Follow-on course: Pistol II (supervised range training). About the Instructor
Dr. Salmon is a certified firearms instructor (Oklahoma CLEET, NRA), retired NSU professor, US Army veteran and he trains with the International Defensive Pistol Association. More on the Oakley Defense, Facebook or YouTube web sites.

Class schedule 
Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
Six classroom hours covering safety, shooting fundamental and the Oklahoma law.

Sunday 2 to 5:30 p.m. : 2 - 3 hour outdoor practice session.

Location
Saturday: Hillside Church, 900 S Campbell Rd, Tahlequah.
Sunday p.m.: Private outdoor range.
