Micro-credentials

What are micro-credentials?

Micro-credentials fall into two main categories, badges and certificates. Micro-credentials exist for the job seeker to show profecency of a skill or subject. They can be listed on resumes and social media.

What is a badge?

A badge is a micro-credential that shows profecency in a specific skill. Examples of a badge topic would be Social Media Marketing or Effective Buisness Writing.

What is a certificate?

A certificate is a larger endorsement than a badge. A certificate covers a group of related skills. Examples would be a certificate in Human Resources or Project Managment.
