Creative Writing, B.A

The Creative Writing major is for students captivated by the written word who have felt the pull to create their own work. With a focus on developing fundamental skills, the Creative Writing major exposes students to the practice and understanding of various genres, including creative writing workshops, literature courses, and classes in writing for other disciplines. The major culminates in creation and presentation of a polished, cohesive work. Majors can use the degree in any pursuit that requires collaboration, creativity, and sophistication in writing, including teaching, professional writing, publishing, and further study at the graduate level.
