Ireland 2014
Ireland Study Abroad 2014
The Department of Languages and Literature sponsored a study abroad trip to Ireland
in the summer of 2014. Over twelve days participants visited Dublin, Killarney, and
Galway. Among other literary sites, the trip included visits to Coole Parke and Thoor
Ballylee, home to poet William Butler Yeats and setting for some of his most important
verse; the Book of Kells at Trinity College; and the James Joyce Museum, as well as
sites associated with the Easter Rising in 1916, the start of the Irish War of Independence.
NSU students participated in the trip for three-hours undergraduate or graduate credit.
