Scholarships - NSU Band

Scholarships

basketball_menBand scholarships are given for participation in ensembles regardless of major. Just about all students who participate in the NSU Band Program get some form of financial assistance. To be considered for a band scholarship, you must audition. Please see the audition page for information on scheduling your audition.

To receive a band scholarship, you must enroll and participate in at least one ensemble in the fall and spring semester. Students who receive a band scholarship are expected to perform at their best at all times and to serve as role models for other college band members. Scholarships may be revoked at any time for students who fail to bring their very best to every rehearsal and performance. In addition to performing in at least one ensemble each semester, students must maintain full time enrollment, at least 12 credits, and a 2.5 GPA.

Band scholarships are renewable for four years. Students who would like to maintain their scholarship for a fifth year may request an extension from the Director of Bands.
