Report from the RCR Training Workshop (February 2022)

Report from the RCR Training Workshop (February 2022)

NSU hosted a Responsible Conduct of Research Training Workshop on February 26, 2022. The workshop was funded by a grant from the Office of Research Integrity, Department of Health and Human Services (grant number ORIIR210071). Nineteen participants from Cameron University, East Central University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and the University of Central Oklahoma attended the one-day event at the NSU Broken Arrow campus. The workshop was developed by six faculty from Northeastern State University: Drs. Sapna Das-Bradoo, Nathan Green, Janaki Iyer, Jessica Martin, Mark Paulissen, and Cammi Valdez. Drs. Janaki Iyer and Jessica Martin presented an overview of RCR and RCR training, Dr. Kayla Davis (U.S. Department of Energy) presented a framework for discussing RCR and ethical issues with students, and Dr. Hubin (Southwestern Oklahoma State University) presented about a class he developed at SWOSU. Participants shared about RCR training at their home institutions and spent the afternoon developing plans for updates to RCR training at their home institutions. Presentations and bios are available at the links below.
