Media Studies Minors

Offered Minors

The media studies program offers three minor options that emphasize the importance of integrity, collaboration and creativity while teaching students valuable skills in public relations, advertising and multimedia. The media studies minors can be used to supplement any major offered at Northeastern State University.

The Traditional Media Studies Minor allows our students to select 18 hours of any media studies course, excluding internships. The Online Public Relations Minor is a fully online minor consisting of six media studies courses. The Professional Media Communication Minor is a minor with a blend of media studies and communication courses.

Students looking to complete the Traditional Media Studies Minor may look over the offered media studies course on the Degree Plan page to select their desired courses.

Students that are interested in the Online Public Relations Minor must complete the following six courses from the media studies program.

  • M S 2403 - Intro to Web Design
