  • The Advanced Placement Summer Institute sponsored by the College Board and Northeastern State University is offered to new and experienced AP teachers. Participants will find that their Institute experience sets them up for success in teaching their AP classes with new ideas, resources, and a renewed enthusiastic vision for their classes. Participants will be learning through College Board approved consultants.

    THREE WEEKS OF APSI COURSES: June 8-11, June 15-18 and July 20 - 23 2020


    Instructors: Courses are led by experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated College Board-endorsed lead consultants who have a broad range of knowledge and proven ability presenting to their peers. Instructors include AP test development committee members, AP exam readers, winners of special recognition awards from the College Board, and winners of regional and national teaching awards. 

    When: Each course meets Monday through Thursday of its given week, 8: 30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

    Where: Courses are held on the Broken Arrow campus of Northeastern State University.

    Registration opens Feb.1, 2020.

    Cancellation Deadline: May 29th for June courses and July 10th for July courses.

    Refunds: The $50 deposit is non - refundable.  If you cancel before the cancellation deadline, all but the $50 will be refunded.  If the cancellation is after the deadline, there is no refund.

    Professional Development Credits: Participants will receive up to 30 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits or 3.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU). 


    When you are eligible to receive the discount for your AP course, so that you only pay $50, you need to choose yes on the drop down. Your spot is guaranteed upon receipt of payment or receipt of your PO #. The $50 is non-refundable.

    AP Coordinator Workshop:
    Description:
    This one day full-day workshop – updated for the 2020-2021 school year - is designed to help new and experienced AP coordinators learn how to efficiently and successfully manage their schools' AP program. In this workshop, you will have the chance to exchange best practices and learn new ways to handle the responsibilities of coordinating an AP program. Learning Outcomes: After this workshop, you will be able to: • Access, setup, and use the AP Registration and Ordering system • Enroll students and manage the student roster • Support AP teachers in accessing resources • Navigate the AP Course Audit process • Order AP Exams • Administer exams to students with accommodations • Administer exams that require technology and/or audio equipment • Train proctors • Maintain exam security • Arrange off-site testing • Arrange late testing • Handle testing incidents and disruptions • Return AP Exams • Access and pay your school’s invoice
