Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology

The Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology offers the following degrees and programs:

Advocacy and Justice Studies

The Bachelor of Science in Advocacy and Justice Studies prepares students for a career in non-profit organizations, which exist to improve the quality of life of others and provide humanitarian or environmental aid. The degree program is interdisciplinary with coursework from the fields of criminal justice, sociology, women’s and gender studies, American Indian studies, geography, communication, social work, political science, and history. The degree provides foundational knowledge, theory, research methods, and practice related applications to the nonprofit sector.

Criminal Justice Degrees

Students may select a four-year program available in both face-to-face and online delivery OR they may select a fast-track, degree completion delivery format available through the College of Extended Learning.

Cyber Security Major, B.S.

Homeland Security Major, B.S.

A major may be selected from either of the three options (Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, or Homeland Security) in the Criminal Justice program. Two majors in Criminal Justice are not permitted.
