Occupational Therapy Program Prerequisite Courses*
- Introductory Psychology (3 hours)
- Abnormal Psychology (3 hours)
- Life-Span Development (3 hours)
- Sociology or Anthropology (3 hours)
- Human Anatomy with Lab (4-5 hours)*
- Human Physiology with Lab (4 hours)*
- Medical Terminology or Medical Vocabulary (1-3 hours)
- Research Statistics (2-3 hours)**
Please note there may be course requirements prior to taking prerequisite courses.
*Combined Anatomy and Physiology courses (A&PI with lab and A&PII with lab) may be taken, provided a minimum of 8 hours total are completed and both are successive courses from the same university.
**Recommended courses include Psychology Statistics, Sociology Statistics, or Research (Courses must include an understanding of statistical measures in the context of applied research.)
