I became a Speech-Language Pathologist because I have a desire to help others learn and grow. I knew that I loved teaching, but I also loved learning about the medical aspects of being a SLP. The more I grew in my clinical rotations, while finishing my degree, I quickly realized my passion for the adult population and being a medical SLP. Since graduating, my focus areas have been swallowing and voice impairments, with a mix of cognitive and language disorders as well. The longer I’m in this field the more I love it! I want to be able to share my passion for this career with other future SLP’s and hopefully make a difference in our field with the future generation professionals.
